美光高级研究员丰富技术和人才

美光科技| 2017年9月

Our customers crave memory and storage solutions with ever increasing 表演 and reliability that keep power consumption and cost in check. To meet these requirements, 微米 needs technical expertise and innovation of the highest caliber. 这些都是马克·赫尔姆所体现的特征, the fourth and newest senior fellow in 微米’s Technical 领导 Program (TLP).

马克舵
他在美光公司工作了22年, Mark对DRAM做出了许多重要贡献, NAND和NOR器件开发. 最近, he plays an integral role in delivering 微米’s nonvolatile product innovations and is responsible for key innovations in 3D 快闪记忆体 memory devices. Mark also works hard to enrich 微米's current and future engineering talent. He mentors engineers within 微米 and participates in 微米’s recruiting efforts at college campuses.

“Mark has been one of the cornerstone talents in the 微米 NAND journey and has consistently been a voice of reason, 创新与坚持,” said 微米 Design Engineering and Nonvolatile 内存 Vice President Ramin Ghodsi. “He has successfully integrated his in-depth knowledge of NAND cell algorithm, 表演 and reliability into the product design world. He has also become a mentor to many design engineers, increasing their understanding and effectiveness for 微米.”

Senior fellows at 微米 must perform to an extremely high level of expectations, one of which is to drive corporate-level technical objectives and strategies while mentoring others to do the same. Senior fellows must also have their technical accomplishments recognized in the industry.

Mark has been instrumental in driving 微米’s 3D NAND program into leadership position,” said 微米 Vice President of Process Re搜索 and Development Naga Chandrasekaran, 谁也是TLP的执行发起人. “With his wide background and experience in process integration, 设备可靠性, 设计工程, Mark has contributed with significant innovations to guide 微米’s NAND program. His promotion to Senior Fellow is a recognition of Mark’s accomplishments.”

Mark joined 微米 in 1993 and contributed to process integration and device development on DRAM, NOR闪存和NAND闪存器件. 自2008年以来, he has been with the Nonvolatile Design Engineering team, where he helped drive the transition from 2D NAND to 3D NAND.

Mark is currently responsible for creating solutions to improve the cost, 表演, power and reliability of 微米’s current and future nonvolatile product offerings. He earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his master’s degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University. 他撰写了超过75篇美国文章.S. 专利.

This year, 微米’s TLP also promoted two members to fellow, another prestigious position.

“Ramaswamy “Ramaswamy

“Ramaswamy is the newest fellow in 微米’s Emerging 内存 Group. Among his many accomplishments since joining 微米 in 2002, Nirmal had a leading role in the invention and selection of the NAND cell technology currently in production. 在他目前的职位上, he has significantly advanced the state of the art in emerging memory.

Nirmal earned a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and a doctorate in materials science and engineering from Arizona State University. 他持有超过143美元.S. 专利.

大卫·波特 大卫·波特

大卫·波特 is the newest fellow in 微米’s DRAM Engineering Group. He joined 微米 in 1996 and has more than 28 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Just a few of his many achievements while at 微米 include developing innovations for LPDDR4 and DDR4 DRAM designs and circuit design technology, as well as helping to define next-generation DRAM specifications. 在他目前的职位上, David sets the technical direction and manages technology development activities for the senior technical staff within the Boise DRAM design team.

David earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Mississippi State University and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. 他持有74英镑。.S. 专利.

On behalf of the 微米 TLP, I’d like to congratulate Mark, Nirmal and David on their new promotions. I’m invigorated by having these talented team members helping to drive 微米’s technology developments and innovations, set to further enrich life through the products we enable.
